| Behold, the mighty Fender Stratocaster. Truly a celebrity among guitars. Almost seems a shame, what I'm about to do. | |
| You see, I had a little accident. I dropped my recently bought Strat on the concrete. I know, I know. I should be hanged for such treachery. In an attempt to cover up my mistake, I have decided to repair the guitar. Of course, this requires repainting the guitar. And, following through with the idea, first disassembling the guitar. | |
| It seemed an easy enough idea at first. Just undo a few screws to take the guts out, then I can get busy painting... right? Well, up until I realized there were electronics routed through the wood. | |
| Fortunately, I had a soldering iron handy. Thank goodness I took those electronics courses 10 years ago. Not that I really remember much from the classes though. | |
| So here we have the Strat, stripped to the bone (with the exception of a couple little metal pieces that were firmly affixed to the wood). Let's hope I remember how to put it back together when all this is over. |
